Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Who we are

This website, scorpiatech.com, is run by Scorpia Tech Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO registration number ZC282303).

You can contact us at info@scorpiatech.com.

This policy covers this website only. Our apps, such as ScorpInvoice and ScorpBook, have their own privacy policies.

What personal data we collect

  • Project estimate form: the name and email address you enter, any notes you add, the options you choose (scope and size) and the estimate shown to you.
  • Emails you send us: your email address and whatever you include in your message.
  • Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic request details (such as the browser you use and the pages you request) to deliver the site and keep it secure.

The Sole Trader Calculator works in your browser. The figures you type into it are not sent to us.

How we use it, and why

We use your details only to:

  • reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote or estimate — to take steps at your request before a contract, or in our legitimate interest in running our business;
  • keep the website secure and working properly — our legitimate interest;
  • meet our legal and accounting obligations — where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you. We will not add you to a mailing list without asking first.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the service providers that help us run the website. They act on our instructions:

  • Resend, which delivers the estimate form to our inbox as an email;
  • Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers the website and helps protect it;
  • our email provider, which hosts our info@scorpiatech.com mailbox.

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, for example to a court or a regulator. We do not share it with anyone else.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on approved safeguards for the transfer, such as the UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If we work together, we keep the related records for as long as our legal and accounting obligations require. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period only.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

The only cookie we set is NEXT_LOCALE. It remembers the language you are viewing the site in, contains nothing but the language code, and expires when you close your browser.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
  • ask for your data in a portable format, where it applies.

To use any of these rights, email info@scorpiatech.com. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date above.
